Response to treatment may vary, but most users begin to experience relief from nausea within 15 minutes of wearing a BioBands wristband, and sometimes as soon as 5 minutes.
Acupressure (short for “accurate pressure”) applies pressure to certain acupuncture points on the body. However, unlike acupuncture, acupressure does not use needles. Acupressure is commonly applied with the hand or a band, like your BioBand. A band is preferred when the pressure needs to be constant to provide relief, as is the case with nausea relief.
Applying the correct amount of pressure to a particular point is the key to acupressure. BioBands adjustability allows users to customize the pressure for maximum effect.
Unlike elastic type travel bands, which can be too loose or too tight, BioBands adjustable watchband construction gives the user ultimate comfort and superior effectiveness. It’s built in pressure bead will not irritate wrists like other exposed bead versions.
- Only one band needed
All other travel bands require wearing two bands per use. With BioBands precise adjustability users need to wear only one band for optimum results.
The BioBand can be worn over and over. Even salt water will not affect its wear. Especially important when worn for water sports!
In most cases no, but according to acupressure and acupuncture specialists it has been know to occur since points can move. If this problem occurs, since only one BioBand is worn instead of two, simply change the band to the other wrist. If two bands were worn, on both wrists, then there would be no option if this situation arose.
Wearing only one BioBand on either wrist will not lessen the effectiveness of the band. A study done and published by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bologna University, Bologna, Italy, demonstrated that effectiveness was not lessened when only one band was worn on either wrist instead of the two band principle.
